From end-user to inside sales

I came to know Sigma-Aldrich when I was doing my undergraduate medicinal chemistry study at the University of New South Wales. At that time, we accessed Sigma-Aldrich’s website multiple times per week to complete all the safety information prior to each laboratory class. All the MSDSs, CoAs etc. on the Sigma-Aldrich website had very clear layout and were more easily accessible than any other company’s website.

Moving into my honours year, I used Sigma-Aldrich reagents to conduct my experiments. At the lab, some of the chemicals for use had already been there for more than 5 years. However, I still achieved great outcomes using these chemicals. Later, I learnt that Sigma-Aldrich has always been very strict with their manufacturing process, which results in top quality products that enable development in science.

After graduation, doing my PhD was an option, yet I was also hoping to explore other avenues. So, getting into Sigma-Aldrich as an Inside Sales representative was like a dream come true. Based on my positive experiences with Sigma-Aldrich – while a researcher, and even now as part of the company – it comes naturally to me to share with my customers the benefits of using Sigma-Aldrich products – high quality, great customer service, strong after sale/technical support.
